Meet the Admissions Team

The Sterling Hall School Admissions Team is here to help guide you through the admissions process. We are happy to answer any questions you may have, to help you decide whether SHS is the right fit for your son, and to clarify the application process. Our team spends time with each applicant and his family, to ensure that every boy who is accepted into SHS will succeed.

I interview all parents and boys who apply to The Sterling Hall School. I would be delighted to introduce you to the school and to give you a sense of what daily life here will be like for your son. I have been at SHS for many years. My personal goal and challenge to myself is to learn the name of every boy at SHS.

I am likely the first voice you will hear when you call the school, and the first face you will see when you visit us. Everyone who comes to SHS receives a warm and personal greeting because I want all our boys and parents to feel at home.

Lorna Pitcher, Admissions Tester

I taught at SHS for 14 years before retiring a few years ago to organize a foundation to support Orphans in Uganda. I have taught a variety of grade levels here and know how to assess a boy's ability to be successful at SHS. My responsibilities include administering all the Admissions Assessments and I will do my best to put your boy at ease.

Finding the Admissions Office

We are located at the west end of the school, directly beside the Reception Area. Please park on SHS Drive, located on the north side of Bentworth Avenue, and enter the school through the glass doors. Check in at Reception and then make yourself at home.
