Annual Giving

2010-2011 goal - $385,000

Annual Giving is essential to the operation of our school. It makes up the difference between the tuitions collected and the actual cost to run the school.

All contributions to the Annual Giving program are used to enhance every aspect of learning and teaching. With your support, we can ensure that each and every boy's experience at SHS is a high quality experience.

How Annual Gifts improve our school

Annual Gifts are directed to a range of areas in the school, according to priorities established by the Principal and the Faculty and Staff. While the specific targets for improvement may change from year to year, they fall within the following areas: Arts & Languages, Athletics, Homeroom Enhancements, and Science & Technology.

The Sterling Priority Fund offers the School the flexibility to meet the needs of students now and in the future. Principal Ian Robinson evaluates the feasibility of any new initiative and disperses funds accordingly.  Nearly two out of every three annual donors direct their support to this fund to enhance the SHS experience.

Annual Giving options

There are five levels of support available for Annual Gifts. All gifts over $25 will receive a Charitable Tax Receipt, as well as other benefits based on the level of funding. The average Annual Gift is approximately $1,300.
