Meet the Advancement Team
Since joining The Sterling Hall School as the Executive Director of Advancement in June of 2008, it has been my goal to both preserve and enhance the involvement of our Parents, Volunteers, and Alumni.
The goal of the Advancement Office is to present the face of the school through promotion of our programs and communication of the great work that we do. In accomplishing this, the Advancement Team is fortunate to be able to spend our days building relationships that last — relationships that will advance the School — be it with Faculty and Staff, Parents, Alumni, or the general public. We also provide our community the opportunity to get involved in projects that are meaningful to them.
It is difficult to walk through our school without noticing the donor walls and that every hall, wing, facility, and homeroom is named; named for the generosity of current Parents, past Parents, Grandparents, and Alumni who have chosen to show their support through a meaningful investment in the school. Unlike private schools, independent schools do not turn a profit. Every dollar goes toward advancing the school — its programs or its facilities — to make your boy’s experience the best it can be.
From our annual advertising and marketing campaigns to monthly newsletters, communications with our Alumni, the school website, the Annual Giving campaign, and our major building campaigns, Advancement engages the community to make great things happen, in order to benefit the boys who are here today, and the boys who will follow.
It is my honour to serve the community of SHS as Executive Director of Advancement, and I am grateful for the expertise and dedication of my colleagues in the Advancement Office, Mireille Millette and Linda Boutilier, whom I would like to introduce to you.
