Early Morning Program
The Early Morning Program provides a supervised environment for SHS parents wishing to drop off their sons before school or their scheduled practice/activity. Parents may drop off boys between 7-8AM in the McCain Dining Hall.
Boys are supervised by a qualified teacher until they are escorted to the Ian Robinson Quad for supervised outdoor play. (In the case of inclement weather, boys will remain in the McCain Dining Hall until 8:15AM.)
- Boys may use this time to complete homework, read, and play games.
- Pre-registration is not required. Bring your son to the McCain Dining Hall entrance (exterior door) off of the Cartwright roundabout. Boys will sign in as they arrive.
- Blue Window staff will offer boys a variety of breakfast options, including bagels, cold cereal, assorted muffins, fresh fruit, juice and milk. Blue Window purchases will be charged to your student account. Boys may bring a nut-free breakfast from home. A microwave is available.
- Boys entering the school building for early morning scheduled activities (e.g. athletics practices) will enter through the McCain Dining Hall entrance and may purchase an item from the Blue Window before continuing on to their activity/practice. They will be required to sign in, indicating that they are attending an activity/practice, not the Early Morning Program. (Boys attending outdoor practices may go directly to their practice if they do not wish to enter the school building.)
