SHS is an independent day school for boys from JK to Grade 8. Our mission is to inspire and empower each boy through his formative years.

Navigation Team of the SHS Old Boys Association

In the summer of 2012, the idea of an official SHS Old Boys Association was developed with a mission to create a familiar and welcoming community for alumni to reconnect, develop and thrive within while also upholding a vision of an enthusiastic and vibrant community of Sterling Hall Old Boys that continues to grow and expand. A year later, a leadership team–the Navigation Team–was struck to oversee the workings of the Old Boys Association (OBA) and to set out a direction for its future. It continues to be a working, viable group of volunteers which works closely with the school to plan all alumni relations activities.

Responsibilities and goals of the OBA Navigation Team include 1) developing and implementing innovative ideas for events, direction and expansion, 2) communicating with OBA members (membership includes all SHS Old Boys) regularly, 3) progressing and fostering the presence of the OBA within the Sterling community, 4) meeting regularly to plan, reflect and review and 5) perpetuating the growth and expansion of the OBA. Our Old Boys Association and its leadership are committed to providing our alumni with opportunities to reconnect with old friends and former teachers as well as to network with like-minded young men and develop new ties.
