Holiday Toy Drive

Winter Break is almost here and our SHS Toy Drive helped to put us in the holiday spirit of giving. Our Grade 2 boys, in collaboration with the Agents of Change, hosted this initiative powered by the learning done in class relating to service and citizenship.

Families were invited to bring in new, unwrapped toys for children aged 3-16 until Friday, December 3. Thank you to all of those in our SHS community who participated with such generosity and kindness, to our Grade 2 classrooms who organised the Drive, to the Hochglaube family for their commitment to the cause and to the 32 Division Fire Station for all their help with the initiative. All toys were transported to the 32 Division Station where volunteers will sort, wrap and deliver them to the Lawrence Heights community for distribution.

This incredible initiative resulted in an overflow of gifts this year that will make the holiday season extra special for boys and girls in need.
