Environmental sustainability is an increasing concern for today's youth. In the face of an ever-evolving reality, it is important to equip young boys with the knowledge and skills needed to respond to these pressing issues. The Sterling Hall School is committed to infusing hope into these efforts.

Students at SHS learn very early on, beginning in the Primary grades, how to identify different elements of character using the VIA Character Strengths Program (www.viacharacter.org). They are encouraged to think about when they have shown character and are asked to consider and select character traits they would like to work on.

We can all help our boys overcome mathemaphobia and sometimes we all have to approach the study with a good sense of humour. After all, as the comedian Steven Wright observed, “Five out of four people have trouble with fractions.”
